Paris Hilton has announced her plans to launch her own hotel and casino chain, following the footsteps of her great-grandfather.

The blonde heiress said she wants to start business by opening a spectacular and luxurious hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“It's going to be lots of fun. My hotels will be like (London hotel) the Sanderson - a bit more extravagant, but cool.”

$75,000 in chips stolen from blackjack table

A Hispanic male wearing a T-shirt and dark trousers stole 15 chips from a high-roller blackjack table at the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort. According to Casino officials, the chips were valued at $75,000.

The theft occurred at 6 p.m. on Monday, as informed by the Division of Gaming Enforcement of the State Police. Detective Sergeant David Hickman said that the thief entered the premises, grabbed the 15 chips and fled the casino.

A man will walk 1800 miles to play blackjack

Brendan Kelly, a 33-year-old man from Louisville, Kentucky, has challenged himself to walk from his hometown to Las Vegas to play a hand of blackjack. The trip will take three months and he will walk 1800 miles.

Kelly has a website in which he is selling the 3,250,000 steps that he will take for $1 each. He plans to donate $1.25 million plus any winnings from the blackjack game to several charities including the Make a Wish Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.

French Lick Resort & Casino to hire 1,000 people

The French Lick Resort & Casino will open in November, and managers are working to hire some 1,000 people for jobs such as dealers, slot representatives, chefs, waitresses, hotel concierges, cashiers, auditors and golf groundskeepers.

About 700 jobs remain to be filled for the resort, and 350 jobs are available at the casino, according to an article published by Gambling Magazine. About 2,000 people attended the first day of a job fair at the West Baden Springs hotel Friday.

Experts suggest to build eleven casinos in England

Professor Peter Collins, director of the center for the study of bets and commercial gambling in the University of Stanford, has recently suggested to the government’s Casinos Consulting Panel that they should allow the building of eleven Las Vegas-style casinos, one for each region, according to an article published today by Yogonet.com.

In a conference, Collins said: “I don’t know anybody who thinks that one single license is the right thing. There is no convincing argument to support the existence of just one license.”

$250,000 Action You Can’t Refuse Blackjack Tournament

Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino announced that the $250,000 Blackjack Tournament would take place on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3. Players will be registered on Friday, September 1.

Participants with $15,000 in available funds (Credit or Front Money) will be registered at no charge while those players who don’t have available funds will be allowed to register by paying an inscription fee of $2,500 (cash).

Hungarian banks block transfers from internet betting

As reported by HATC: “Hungarian banks are blocking payments to online betting sites, in order to protect themselves in the legal debate on betting abroad by Hungarian citizens, which is illegal.”

“The website of online betting agency Sportingbet states that payments cannot be made from Hungary on cards issued by IEB, Citibank, K&H Bank, MKB, Takarékbank and savings co-operatives. The experience of online betting agency Betandwin is similar.”
